０５年５月前的活动聚会报道

中山大学美东校友会定于2004年4月18日（星期日）在[http://branchbrookpark.org|新泽西布朗克公园]举行一年一度的春游活动。春游活动的主要内容是观赏美东最大的樱花园. 活动行程安排如下:

1)上午9:30AM, 布朗克公园北园停车场集中和观赏樱花;
2) 11:00AM, 参观布朗克公园南园和教堂建筑;
3) 12:30PM, 中午野餐和小息(请自带简便午餐和饮料);
4) 1:30PM, 自由活动(打排球或羽毛球等);
5) 2:30PM, 活动结束.

参加春游活动可自行开车或在纽约曼哈顿唐人街搭乘校友会租赁的巴士. 乘坐巴士的校友每人付乘费$10, 租赁巴士的费用余额由校友会付清. 乘车地点和时间另行通知. 请中大新老校友及欢迎中山医校友、亲朋好友届时踊跃报名参加此次春游活动！需要搭乘巴士的校友报名截止日期是4月10日, 自行开车校友的报名截止日期是4月16日.

Description: The Branch Brook Park, located at the north end of the Newark city, is a narrow square spreads from south to north. The interesting points are 1) the blossom cherry trees at the north end; and 2) the pond and the big church at the south.

Driving Direction

Take "Route 280" West Exit 15. Find the "Mountain Prospect Avenue" to North. Turn left to West at the "Heller Pkwy". In the park turn right North to the "Visitor's Center". Please note that the roads in Newark are not always regular. We omit some details so that you can focus on the main points.

Via Train/Subway

Take NJ Transit or PATH Trains to Newark Penn Station. Board the Newark City Subway towards Franklin Avenue. Many stops afford easy access to the Park. For the Southern Division of the Park, exit at Park Avenue. Exit at Bloomfield Avenue to reach the Middle Division of the Park. The Northern Division is accessible from the Davenport Avenue stop. The Heller Parkway and Franklin Avenue stops leave you at the entrance to the Extension Division.

Via Bus
A variety of Bus Routes provide service to Branch Brook Park. These include NJ Transit's bus lines #11, #27, #28, #29, #41, #72, #74, #90, #92, #93, #99 and #108.
